You might be wondering what the heck this is. So are we.
The life that I've lived as a music maker has been nothing but enigmatic. I've gone to many music conferences as a young, starry eyed musician, eager to swallow the invaluable secrets of 'making it' in the music industry. I've read my share of books on the matter. While I didn't find these sorts of things to be easily dismissed, I felt that there was an essential element missing in these educational mediums. That element being, actual life experiences that can only be acquired as a working musician. (Duh.)
There are numerous resources available to us, from books to seminars, to DIY web resources and otherwise. I suppose you could look at this as another resource, though I must be honest. I truly hope that this show is able to to provide an entirely different sort of learning experience.
Before you think us to be nauseatingly arrogant, we don't claim to have any answers. What we do have are stories. (Our stories.) We have a host of friends and peers in the industry who also have stories. Stories are fun and enchanting ways to accidently learn stuff.
We are embarking on a journey of conversation that includes a much larger part of the music making community than ourselves alone. You see, we also want to learn stuff on accident.
In the name of transparency, I must confess that I mostly love just rambling on about 100 different types of nothing with my friend, Louis. That's the real reason I'm excited about this.
Join us on accident.
